Well the people I'm inviting are between 18-20 years old. There will be about 20 people coming. About half of them are guys (the girls drink too but not as much).
And also is it alright to ask SOME people coming to bring some beers to the party, or is it rude?

Its not rude (im a minor in HK, american, drinking age is 18)
to ask people to bring drinks but atleast what me and my friends have done is when we host a party, we make sure that we supply the majority - after all its our party. Thelast party i've actually put together i chipped in 16 beers (3 six packs - 2 for me ) and got my friend who i trusted most to bring some too.
Then i casually asked someone i knew who could afford to spend a little extra money so everyone could have a good time. in my school , its not socially acceptable to ask everyone to bring drinks, not sure about everywhere else. But i'd say chip in a fair amount, ask 2 or 3 people if they can chip in for Vodka or Whiskey/scotch ect. So atleast the guys who do drink will drink some of that and leave some beers for the ladies.
Of course, im a minor and if i were you i wouldn't listen to a kid either. But hey. its a story of mine and hope it helps a bit (I found this place where i live that sells things cheaper in bulk, maybe look around for something like that)

Umm, if you're in the states, IT IS ILLEGAL TO PROVIDE ALCOHOL TO MINORS, and under 21 is still a minor where alcohol is concerned.
Someone calls the cops on your party, and you will all be getting underage drinking tickets. Since it's your house, you could be going to jail.
Depends on where you live.
