Has anyone else ever tasted Johnny Walker Blue Label?

Where can I get it, and how much does it cost?

I worked at a liquor store that sold it and I was hooked. we got a 20% discount but it still cost almost $140. And YES it is much better than the other JW labels. I gave a bottle as a christmas gift 10 years ago and my friend still brings it up. he didn't have a dollar to his name and was the proud owner of one of the best bottles of scotch around!

Red Label — a blend of around 35 grain and malt whiskies. It is intended for making mixed drinks.[4] 80 proof. 40% ABV. Black Label — a blend of as many as 40 whiskies, each aged at least 12 years. According to William Manchester, this was the favourite Scotch of Winston Churchill.[5] 80 proof. 40% ABV. Green Label — a vatted malt whisky that consists of a blend of about 15 individual single malts, the signature malts being Talisker, Cragganmore, Linkwood, and Caol Ila – Aged 15 years. 86 proof. 43% ABV. Previously sold under the name 'Pure Malt'. Gold Label — a rare blend of over 15 single malts, including the very rare Clynelish malt. It was derived from Alexander II's blending notes for a whisky to commemorate Johnnie Walker's centenary[citation needed]. His original efforts were thwarted by a shortage of these malts following World War I. Gold Label is commonly bottled at 15 or 18 years. 80 proof. 40% ABV. Blue Label — Johnnie Walker's premium blend. Every bottle is serial numbered and sold in a silk-lined box, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. There is no age declaration for Blue Label. 86 proof (Although it states on an information booklet, provided in the box, that some of the blends used are "up to 60 years old").

In the US it wholesales currently for $154.00. The largest amount is sold to Asian bottle bars where consumers pay as much as $600. per bottle to show-off to their friends.

I don't know where you live so it's impossible to direct you to a retailer to purchase it for yourself. If you do find it, ask about the Johnnie Walker Gold and Green labels as well.

The Gold is a very smooth blend with minimum age of 18 years.

The Green is a 'vatted malt' which is a blend of single malts and is also excellent. These bottles will cost you less than half of the Blue (Gold wholesales at $52.25, Green at $43.00)

Last year I have bought Blue Label from Heathrow

duty free, cost, so far I remember 36pounds or so.

It is smooth, but I did not find it outstanding. Isla single

malt is my most favourate.

I got mine for $175 for a fifth.

I really like it and drink it sparingly.

Another option is that many liquor stores

(and maybe online) you can get the sampler...

one ounce bottles of red, black, gold, and blue

for only $25 or so. You can compare and see how super

smooth blue label is!

My partner won a small bottle of this at Bangkok airport, that was about 3 years ago, she,s keeping it for a special occasion.so i hear its fantastic but very expensive, it,s about 180 years old or something like that. I keep telling my partner we better drink it before it go,s off. But no joy yet.
