It relaxes you and removes inhibitions if too much is consumed. People under pressure tend to overdue drinking because of the calming affect it has on the system. A drink or two before dinner is a perfect way to get back "in gear" after a particularly difficult day. Excess is dangerous!

They try it & like the way it makes them feel and then become addicted. By the time they realize the harmful effects of it, they are already hooked.

when a person drinks, he feels more relaxed, his inhibitions are lowered, meaning he finds it easier to approach people, or just be laid back and enjoy himself, his problems, worries, stress, are gone for the time being.
