I personally like Schnapps and Hot Damn is 100 proof. My friends like Captain morgan, Jack Daniels. I never tried them but I don't know the price as the only bottle I drank was a gift but Canadian club is good.

I am a Guinness Extra Stout drinker myself. It is a beer. It is not cheap either.

Get the basic well brand liquors, vodka, rum, gin, tequila, a whiskey or bourbon. Have your basic mixers, coke, sprite, or 7-up, or ginger ale, triple sec. Lime juice, and grenadine, and sweet sour mix. The basic juices, OJ, PJ, Cranberry, and maybe grapefruit, you are set, you can make any bar drink well brand there is! That is a basic bar set-up, and of course your garnish tray, cherries, lemons, limes, and maybe orange slices, tooth picks or drink spears for the garnishes, you can cut them like a bar does to go on the rim, or fancy them up with an umbrella. Even with the basic 4 white liquors you can make anything and even a PJ punch, and most traditional shots as well. Unless you want to go fancy, if it is mostly MEN you are serving? Then I think beer is a better bet, or a pony keg. MGD is a inexpensive domestic beer that most like, although a bud or bud-light usually pleases most, and if you are on a limited budget maybe wine coolers or flavored wine for ladies. It also depends on the type of people coming. The BYOB is a good idea too, and have the mixers there 4 everyone. There are many ideas, but I would not spend a lot of money, and don't leave the bottles out for people to make their own drinks!!!! It gets wasted, and people will set their cups down and go make another (I hate that!) If you set it up in pitchers pre-made is the Best idea. Like have a 2 quart pitcher of Long island Iced Tea, or rum and coke, or screw drivers, etc.. a PJ in a watermelon is cool too, with some other fruit added, top off with 151 rum or ever-clear and you won't need much at all to get a whole lot of them drunk! Just remember don't let anyone leave your house driving if they are tanked, you can be held responsible! under the laws. If you want some more ideas message me, and I can post a list, and edit. But really I would not buy TOP shelf Alcohol for friends for a party, that's a lot spent and a lot gets wasted! The aristocrat is the cheapest well brand for vodka and rum. A few schnapps too maybe for chilled shots or make some jello shooters, they go a long way too! Cheers! Have fun!

Buy a few bottles of Everclear/Golden Grain, get a big cooler/tub, mix with Hawaiian Punch and you've got Hunch Punch. Everclear is really strong, so everyone can get drunk. Add pieces if fruit to the punch and let them sit. You can eat them when the punch is gone... alcoholic fruit! This is great for parties!

Burnette's vodka cheap but good... Barbarosa spiced rum, also very delicious... Evan Williams Black Label very nice. if your a spiced rum drinker Sailor Jerry's is more expensive but it's 92 proof.

Absolut is pretty good if you like vodka and it's not too pricey.

Captain Morgan's Black Cask is another good one, 50% alc.
