I don't drink often at all. Just ocassionally at social events. I don't know much about the different drinks yet, I usually order what my friends suggest is good. Can someone explain to me what are good drinks I should try. Which drinks are light? which drinks are stronger? Which are good or bad. If you could give me full details about the drinks I dappreciate it like expalining what patrone and other drinks are (because I have no idea). Is it lady like to drink beer? Any advice I could get I'll appreciate. Thanks.

My question is, for people who are just starting out with drinking and are just trying stuff for the first time. What are some good suggestions. Thanks!

Patron is a brand of tequila, very good and strong. Not for the amateur. I would suggest starting with something weaker, like wine, or wine coolers. They taste better and they won't hit you as hard. Don't drink anything over 60 proof(proof is a barometer for how strong the liquor that you're drinking is; it's simply 2x the percentage of alcohol in the booze, so if it's 60 proof, it's 30% alcohol). Stay away from anything hard, vodka, tequila, rum, gin, bourbon, whiskey, scotch, until you are more comfortable handling your alcohol. Remember to ALWAYS drink a glass of water with EVERY drink when you are starting out. This will keep you hydrated, slow down your drinking and keep you under control. Have fun!! And yes, drinking is VERY lady like, assuming you stay in control of yourself and don't make an *** out of yourself. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Wine woud be my recommendation. It is very appropriate for ladies, and also healthy(especially red wine). Just don't be intimidated by the misconception that you have to be a "wine" expert. Start out with a lighter red wine such as a Pinot Noir and try diferent varietals, you will not be disappointed and you will actually begin to enjoy the experience.

Nothing wrong with beer, and it is ladylike. Lighter beers are better because of lower alcoholic content, but are not as full bodied or tasty.Again, try different kinds and enjoy the pleasure of the drink, not the "buzz" you may get.

when a lady drinks a beer i think it looks respectable, but it's all about what u like..

in high school its ok to drink shitty beer (Coors, bud light, keystone, etc..) but if u want to seem more mature and really know what ur doing drink on tap (fat tire, new castle, guiness) but u also have to find out what kind u like (dark, light, red)

it seems complicated but its simple

and mixed drink are about weither or not u enjoy the taste of alcohol or beer...

if u do just drink it straight with a soda chaser (pretty much to just get drunk)

if u don't which is fine then first find what type of hard alcohol works for u (vodka, rum, whisky, etc..)

then find out what mixtures u like, pretty much the one that takes away the alcohol tastes which is usually fruity juices with vodka

any other questions let me kno

good luck

You can experiment with "girly drinks" when you go to a bar . . . I usually ask the bartender what they're good at making.

A couple of things I like are Coke or Dr. Pepper with Vanilla Stoli (it's a Russian vodka). If you're into more fruity things get yourself some rum and fruit like strawberries, oranges, lemons, limes, pineapple and experiment yourself. Another drink I learned about in Hawaii was called a Golden Poufer . . . usually when I order this at a bar, 10 other people want one too . . . it's Kahlua, Creme deCaco (Chocolate Liquor), butterscotch schnapps, and Baily's Irish Cream mixed with a little bit of milk or cream topped off with whipped cream and caramel if they have any at the bar. It tastes good over ice, or you can blend it to make a smoothie.

Lava flows or pina coladas are good, that's coconut and rum. The lava flow has a bit of grenadine in it which gives it a fruity kick.

Ladies always look good drinking wine, and there's no chance of ending up with a more potent drink than is good for you. Avoid wine coolers, they're loaded with corn syrup, and sugary drinks hold a special kind of hangover in store.

For me i admire Tequila fantastically in a Margarita yet for the 1st timer it would desire to be too lots. Any candy drink will healthful you besides.

wine but never order it at a bar unless they have a wine collection. You may want to try cranberry and vodka or orange juice and vodka!
