Next week I'm going to do the 12 pubs of Christmas in Dublin

It starts in Ranelagh and ends in Rathmines and is designed that you never have to cross the road to have a pint in each pub (except the canal twice that is)

O'Sullivan's Pub (the local's call it deasy's after the owner) It's on an Island called Bere Island off the west coast of Cork in Ireland.

It's a great pub. Lovely atmosphere. Lots of music and fun in the summer. You can meet all kinds of people there just having a great chat and enjoying each others company.

Here in Montreal the pubs are pretty much the same. They all have some theme like Irish or Scottish or English but they are fun too.

In my adventure, pub foodstuff are oftentimes inedible; gray frozen chips and peas and microwaved pies that were freeze-packed interior the finest century; and obviously a mendacity signal describing the foodstuff as "home made". Publicans think of their customers are mugs. yet they're no longer. and for this reason they're staying remote from pubs in droves.

I like Opele Divines in Austin, TX for it's atmosphere and the awesome fireplace upstairs

I like Port O' Call & Piper Down in Salt Lake City, Port for it's four floors , 7 bars, pool tables, dance floors, and sports bar....and Piper for it's low key atmosphere and selection of brew

I like the Flying Saucer in Dallas for it's huge beer selection

I like Sinbad's in San Diego for the Hooka's

I like the Double Door & The Glass Bottle in Chicago for the music

Most (non food) pubs in England, because I can still enjoy a cigarette with my glass of wine. The Smoking ban is not over the border yet.........unlike up here in Scotland. *wink*

It has great dancing music and their house band is awesome. They also frequently have concerts there. There are 3 bars, pooltables, huge dance floor, and plenty of fun!
